There is no doubt that the Bahamas is popular and well-known for its outstanding scattered cays and amazing beaches. When you see or read about Nassau or Freeport on television or magazines, you would immediately know that these are locations are links with the Bahamas. It is extremely thrilling to discover these islands but not everyone knows that there is so much more to unravel in these locations.

 

To be precise, there are about six hundred and ninety-eight cays and islands surrounding. Family Islands is the term used to describe the other groups of masses. If you are looking for untouched and perfect beauty then you should visit this place. These places have caves, cays and beaches that have not been explored by most of the tourists. So this is a great location for scuba diving, fishing and sailing. People living in this location are well-known for their warmth and friendliness.

These islands are just fifty miles from Florida. You can begin your trip in Nassau or Freeport. These islands are popular for their unlimited nightlife and pleasure. If you are looking for peace and relaxation then you can visit the cays. You will find palm-lined villages, stalagmite-filled caves and isolated beaches on the pine forests and mangrove swamps of the Lucayan National Park. If you move from Grand Bahama and Abaco on the northern region to Great Inagua on the southern region, you will find more than twenty-three islands where people are residing. Apart from that, you would find many secluded islands and cays. Anything is possible in the Bahamas because there are a lot of adventures and you will find six different ecosystems there.

The Bahamas have cool trade winds, balmy breezes and clam waters. As a result, this is a perfect location for sailing and this is the reason why it is so popular among the tourists. You would also discover that regattas are held all through the year on the different parts of the island.

If you are in to books then you must have heard about the stories written by the famous Ernest Hemingway. These stories are usually about his journey in an island, in the Bahamas, called Bimini.

The Bahamas have about 5% of the earth's reef. You will find that water around the island to be magnificent and it can truly be a paradise for people who love snorkeling and diving. You will find lovely and perfect beaches in the Bahamas.

Of course, the features of the island would differ but you will discover that people living in this island are friendly and charming most of the time. Tourists can experience the hospitality and culture of this island in a genuine and informal surrounding. There is a program offered by The Tourism ministry of the archipelago for this purpose.
