A Relaxing Bahamas Resort On Andros Island

A Bahamas resort on Andros Island could be your next holiday destination if you would like some of the following choices. If you like to relax and unwind, with the chance to do everything or on the other hand do nothing, then Tiamo Beach could well be the place for you.

There are only eleven private bungalows that line a private white sand beach only accessible by boat. Each bungalow is well screened making them exceptionally secluded, and each has the unique feeling that you are outside in the open air, and yet totally private

If you choose to do everything, then there is incredible snorkeling, kayaking, diving, fly fishing, and bird watching. There is also some lovely walks, almost a hike if you want.

On the other hand for the idle individuals there is excellent food and wine plus a number of very comfortable hammocks between the coconut palms!! Dining at Tiamo Beach is exceptional for a remote destination with no real competition for the restaurant. In many resorts the food can become boring but many guests report great choice, great quality, and the thrill of the unknown because you can’t be sure what the next meal will be. Be prepared for group dining, but if that is a concern to you, just remember that this resort tends to bring together like minded people, so meals can be like dinner parties in a friend’s home.

This particular Andros Island resort caters for those people looking for superb service in an un spoilt corner of paradise, where the lifestyle is barefoot but nevertheless sophisticated. If you are a nature lover then Andros Island Tiamo Beach will be paradise for you.

Tiamo Beach has a reputation as an Eco Resort, but very definitely not the hair shirt variety that some are. This is comfort, great staff who are friendly, caring, and make you feel like a member of the family. All the eco stuff is very much in the background and unseen, not worn like a badge of honour.

There are no small children in this Bahamas resort, but it is a great place for supervised teenagers. Adult parents can relax on the beach whilst their children indulge themselves with the activities, not forgetting the more juvenile active parents who are included as well!!

There is a natural desire to keep Tiamo Beach a secret, in case it gets spoiled, but there can be very little danger of this happening. To start with the size precludes that, the fact that it isn’t all that easy to access, and the type of laid back atmosphere would rule it out for the type of people you wouldn’t want there anyway!! Tiamo is unlike many other places in that whilst it has been developed it hasn’t been destroyed. The beach remains small, the water remains crystal clear, and the numbers remain small, and that is the way it will stay.

With this in mind, and including in the equation the fact that Tiamo Beach on Andros Island is so remote this Bahamas vacation really takes you out of contact with the world we inhabit on a daily basis. In other words you can escape reality for a week or two, bring your family back together as a unit, and emerge totally relaxed.
